If there’s anything that says ‘summer’ it’s baseball, and here in Pennsylvania the competition is heating up. With the double elimination tournament of 2021 PA American Legion state baseball championship concluding on Wednesday, July 28, Comcast is excited for Xfinity to be sponsoring PCN’s full coverage of the championship game from War Memorial Field in Ephrata.
The PCN coverage of the championship game will air live on July 28 at 2:05 p.m, with a second game to follow, if necessary and will be rebroadcast on July 30 and July 31. Viewers can check local listings for times.
“Comcast’s sponsorship will help us to showcase to the entire state one of the excellent youth programs the Pennsylvania American Legion and its Posts sponsor,” said Jonathan Wiest, Activities Director for the American Legion Department of Pennsylvania.
Bringing the game from Ephrata to fans across the state, we’re building on our ongoing commitment to Lancaster County. Earlier this year, we expanded our network to Ephrata as well as the boroughs of Lititz and Akron and the townships of West Earl and Warwick, giving residents and businesses a new choice for video, internet, mobile, voice and home security and automation services through Xfinity and Comcast Business.
In June, we launched six WiFi-connected “Lift Zones” in the area at Tec Centro, the Lancaster Recreation Center, the Boys & Girls Club’s Sherman & Kathryn Hill Clubhouse and Jack Walker Clubhouse, the YWCA of Lancaster and the Emerald Foundation Community Campus to help hundreds of low-income students get online, participate in distance learning and do their homework.
“We’re proud to be in homes, businesses and communities across Lancaster County and excited to help broadcast the thrilling conclusion of the American Legion baseball season taking place there for fans throughout Pennsylvania,” said Greg Wells, Comcast’s Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
