More Consumers and Businesses to have Access to Comcast’s Advanced Network and Suite of Innovative Products and Services

Listrak, an Established Leader in the Cross-Channel Marketing Industry, Among the New Business Customers

PITTSBURGH, PA (January 6, 2021) – Comcast today announced it has completed a majority of the construction to expand its network in Lancaster County to the boroughs of Ephrata, Lititz and Akron and the townships of Ephrata, West Earl and Warwick, giving residents and businesses a new choice for video, internet, mobile, voice and home security and automation services.

Construction to extend Comcast’s advanced network in these areas is expected to be complete in 2021. The network is reaching new addresses every month, and residents and businesses should expect direct mail providing service information approximately one month before service can be activated at their address.

“Lititz welcomes Comcast to our community. The services that Comcast provides will give our residents and businesses additional choices for how to best meet their communications needs,” said Lititz Mayor Timothy R. Snyder.

Among the growing number of businesses in this area now using Comcast Business services is Listrak, a Lititz-based leading digital marketing cloud technology provider for more than 1,000 retailers and brands.

“As eCommerce and technology continue to reshape the retail industry, Listrak has also grown exponentially,” said David Lechlitner, Director of Information Technology at Listrak. “We were looking for a vendor that offered the reliability and scalability to meet that demand. The benefit of added bandwidth, network reliability, and outstanding, responsive customer service we get from Comcast Business are critical to both our success and the success of our clients.”

In addition to Gigabit internet service, the unique home WiFi control and security capabilities of xFi Advanced Security, Peacock streaming services included for most customers and the easy access to subscription streaming services for internet-only customers provided by Flex, residents in these areas also have access to the award-winning Xfinity X1 platform, Xfinity Home, Xfinity Voice and Xfinity Mobile. Businesses in these areas can get the full suite of Comcast Business products and services, including Ethernet network speeds up to 100 Gigabits-per-second.

“We are thrilled by the overwhelmingly positive response to our Xfinity and Comcast Business products and services from residents and business owners in our new service footprint in northern Lancaster County,” said Michael Parker, Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Keystone Region. “We are pleased to be part of these communities and look forward to completing the expansion of our services to all residents in the coming months.”

Comcast continues to invest in its network to meet consumer demand, providing among the fastest internet speeds over its advanced network. Comcast also offers Internet Essentials, the national’s largest and most comprehensive broadband adoption program, providing low-cost broadband service, digital literacy training and discounted computers. Through June 2021, and in direct response to the challenges of keeping workers and students connected during the pandemic, new Internet Essentials customers receive two free months of service.

Comcast also looks forward to making a positive impact in these communities. Comcast has a long history of giving back to the communities where it provides service and where its employees live and work.  Across Pennsylvania in 2019, Comcast/NBCUniversal provided more than $44 million in cash and in-kind support to community partners in the form of Comcast Foundation grants, sponsorships, public service announcements, scholarships and courtesy video and Internet services to schools, libraries and Boys & Girls Clubs. In Lancaster County, Comcast has recently partnered with the Steinman Foundation, United Way of Lancaster County, Spanish American Civic Association, Foundation of Lancaster Chamber, Children Deserve A Chance Foundation and Crispus Attucks Community Center, among others.
