Comcast Central PA Locations Designated Among the Best Workplaces for Commuters in 2019

HARRISBURG, PA – March 8, 2019 – Comcast’s offices in Harrisburg, Lebanon and York have been named among the 2019 Best Workplaces for Commuters for offering employees exceptional commuter benefits that meet the National Standard of Excellence criteria.

Comcast is among a select group of workplaces in the United States that have committed to employee-provided commuter benefits that result in at least 14 percent of their employee base not driving alone to work within a 12-month period. Comcast offers employees several commuter benefit options, including:

• A teleworking program, which reduced at least six percent of all employee commute trips
• A compressed workweek, which allows for 10 percent of employees’ vehicle trips to be eliminated
• Emergency Ride Home program
• Pre-tax purchases of qualified public transit costs, including fares and parking
• On-site lunchrooms and gyms that reduce the need for employees to drive before or after work or during breaks
• On-site electric vehicle charging stations in Harrisburg
• Bicycle parking and on-site showers and lockers for employees
