Comcast’s employee resource groups celebrate Thanksgiving by giving back

Comcast’s employee resource groups helped make Thanksgiving brighter for families throughout Pennsylvania.

Comcast’s Black Employee Network (BEN) and Unidos employee resource groups worked together this year to collect and donate 135 Thanksgiving meals across Pennsylvania in November.  We partnered with the Boys and Girls club of Greater Harrisburg, The Neighborhood Center, Hamilton Health Center Healthy Start, the Latino Hispanic American Community Center, Dauphin County Drug and Alcohol Recovery, Life Esteem, Shalom House, The Urban League of Pittsburgh, Susquehanna Township Families in Crisis, YWCA Overnight and Women’s Shelter and Dauphin County Human Services.

In addition, Unidos sponsored Chris “Handles” Franklins’ Turkey Giveaway in Harrisburg, helping the Harlem Globetrotter supply Thanksgiving meals to 100 local families.  Our BEN and Unidos employees enjoyed working with these community organizations and plan to double our impact next year.
