Bilingual and Spanish-speaking families can leverage the Xfinity X1 platform to experience watching TV that best fits their interests. Comcast is committed to advancing technology for diverse customers by providing curated collections such as Xfinity Latino, World Cup Soccer and Kid’s Zone – Comcast is the only cable provider to translate the Common Sense Media ratings and reviews in Spanish – expanding the company’s pledge to put customers’ needs first.
The presentation included information on how the team is improving the X1 platform by giving a better experience to our Latino & Spanish speaking audience through the ability to switch languages in the X1 Settings. This enables a customer to use the Voice Activated “en español” and easily use the SAP function on the remote to switch between English and Spanish while viewing a show or movie. Mike and Marcela also focused on the targeted programming for Latinos with an emphasis on this summer’s Confederations Cup International Soccer tournament.
“As always, it was great to see how Comcast is not only continuing to improve the X1 product but also to think about the specific needs of our diverse community of customers,” said John O’Reilly, Comcast University Tech Training Manager.
O’Reilly, who was in attendance, raved about the demonstration and enjoyed seeing the new store, located at 219 Summit Park Drive in Robinson Township. The 4,000 square foot center provides visitors with an opportunity to explore, learn about and interact with the latest Xfinity products and services.
