2025 in Review: Connecting Communities and Powering Progress Across Pennsylvania

2025 in Review

With 2025 coming to a close, Comcast stands at a transformative moment as we see the initiatives and innovations of the last year take shape and begin to deliver impact.

We recently launched Imagine That, which reimagines the story of Frankenstein and places the iconic monster “Frank” in a world powered by Xfinity, Comcast’s residential services brand. Frank’s world is one where WiFi self-heals, mobile service follows him seamlessly, home security anticipates his needs, and entertainment is always at his fingertips – showcasing how life is better when technology works for you, connecting your world effortlessly and enhancing everyday moments.

Imagine That is more than a brand platform – it’s a reflection of our purpose. Xfinity is building a world where technology works so seamlessly that life feels simpler, safer, and more extraordinary.

In 2025, the company brought the vision of Imagine That to life through product innovations like:

  • Xfinity Internet: We have been virtualizing our network with next-generation broadband technology, making it even more reliable, nimbler and resilient. Additionally, for the first time, Xfinity launched nationwide offers featuring four speed tiers, each including Xfinity’s best-in-class WiFi gateway and the option of a five-year price guarantee, all without an annual contract.
  • Xfinity Mobile: Whether it’s savings, speed, reliability, or the best deals on the best devices, Xfinity Mobile delivers an unmatched wireless experience at a better price. This year, we offered Internet customers a line of Xfinity Mobile on us – an offer still available. With Xfinity Mobile, customers enjoy speeds up to one gig at home and on the go with WiFi PowerBoost.
  • Xfinity’s Entertainment Experience: In a time where everyone’s favorite shows and movies are scattered across streaming apps and channels, Xfinity offers a seamless, personalized and comprehensive viewing experience. From new video packages like Sports & News and World Soccer Ticket to new features like StreamStore and Multiview, Xfinity continues to bring everything customers love into one place. And if you’re watching hockey, you’ll see that this year we introduced Xfinity as the official Internet, Video and Mobile provider of the Pittsburgh Penguins and PPG Paints Arena.

We have also been active across Pennsylvania – including in Western PA, Central PA, Northeastern PA and Greater Philadelphia. We’ve been expanding our network, engaging new businesses, and building local partnerships with the communities we serve.

Connecting More Communities to Xfinity and Comcast Business in Pennsylvania

In 2025, we continued to grow our footprint across the Commonwealth, expanding our broadband network to thousands of new homes and businesses, bringing the promise of high-speed Internet to rural areas, small towns, and tight-knit communities.

Highlights from this year’s expansion in Pennsylvania include:

  • We began construction to extend our network to previously unserved homes and businesses in Washington County, with the first customers online now and additional neighborhoods in progress.
  • Our first customers in Upper Saucon were connected, with additional neighborhoods in the town coming online on a rolling basis.
  • We completed a major buildout in Berks County delivering service to 9,100 new locations.
  • In Northeastern PA, 18,500 new homes and businesses were connected to our smart, reliable network.
  • We connected more than 1,700 previously unserved homes and businesses across Central PA, bringing them high-speed Internet for the first time.
  • We completed a major buildout in Cranberry, Marshall and Pine townships in Pittsburgh’s northern suburbs, delivering service to 13,600 new locations.

Powering Pennsylvania Businesses with Technology Solutions from Comcast Business

Comcast Business continues to empower organizations of all sizes with a robust suite of connectivity, cybersecurity, networking, and managed solutions designed to help businesses grow and adapt in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. This year, we spotlighted Philly Originals, Julius Silvert, American Heritage Credit Union, and The First National Bank & Trust Company of Newtown, each of which leveraged Comcast Business solutions to drive innovation and scale their operations.

Another way we powered possibilities this year was by sponsoring key programs that celebrated collaboration and entrepreneurship, such as the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s Tech 50 Awards and the Lancaster Chamber Small Business Summit. Supporting these initiatives reflects our commitment to the vibrant business community we’re honored to be part of across Pennsylvania.

Building a Future of Unlimited Possibilities in Pennsylvania

Across Pennsylvania, local organizations are working to expand digital access and skills – and through Project UP, Comcast’s $1 billion commitment to advance digital opportunity, we’re proud to support their efforts to unlock opportunity and drive lasting impact. This year, we partnered with several groups making a difference, including:

  • The Spanish American Civic Association, which uplifts and restores communities in Lancaster through human, economic, and social services.
  • Lehman Sanctuary, an eco-education hub and Comcast Lift Zone that helps students and families in Northeastern PA connect with nature in new ways.
  • Tec Centro Berks, which advances workforce preparedness by offering computer education classes led by digital navigators in Berks County.
  • Outreach – Center for Community Resources, a nonprofit organization in Scranton dedicated to helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and build brighter futures.
  • OIC Philadelphia, where we opened a Flagship Lift Zone powered by more than $1 million in total investment to support technology upgrades and expand capacity for digital and technical skills training.

We also supported many incredible local nonprofits through volunteer efforts and sponsorship of events and fundraisers, including the Best of the Batch Foundation, STEM Coding Lab, and the Jerome Bettis Foundation.

Together, these partnerships are helping build a future of unlimited possibilities – one where everyone has the tools to learn, grow, and thrive.

As we close out 2025, Comcast remains focused on the convergence of connectivity and content to create powerful experiences.
