Comcast has started providing its full suite of services, including residential broadband speeds up to 1.2 gigabits per second (Gbps) and business speeds up to 100 Gbps, to its first new customers in the borough of Larksville. The company is scheduled to complete the expansion of its smart, fast and reliable fiber-rich network to the borough by the summer.

The experts at the Xfinity Store can help with product demonstrations and any questions new customers may have. Also, they can help local businesses schedule an informational meeting with the Comcast Business sales team.

Residential customers in Larksville will be able to take advantage of Xfinity’s full suite of products, including:

  • Speeds up to 1.2 Gbps and advanced WiFi technology from powerful gateways capable of delivering those speeds to support the ever-increasing number of connected devices in homes;
  • xFi, a digital dashboard to control the home WiFi network that includes Advanced Security, helping to protect every device on the network from malware and security threats;
  • xFi pods, WiFi extenders that ensure stronger WiFi coverage throughout the home;
  • Xfinity Mobile, built for the way consumers use mobile today, with the Internet at the core of the experience, the top ranked service in customer satisfaction can save customers up to $400 a year on their mobile bills;
  • Flex, a free 4K platform for Internet-only customers that seamlessly delivers streaming content.

Since 2017 alone, Comcast has invested nearly $20 billion to strengthen and expand its national network – including building more than 50,000 new route miles of fiber. Investments like this also enable Comcast to provide Internet speed increases at no additional cost to customers on our most popular tiers, the most recent of which was announced earlier this month.

Comcast’s expansion to Larksville is the company’s latest investment in northeastern Pennsylvania. The company is continuing work on its network expansion in the city of Wilkes-Barre, where it is already serving new customers and will complete construction by the end of the year. Comcast completed its network expansion to the city of Kingston in 2020 and last year opened its Plains Township store and completed expansions to the boroughs of Pringle and Courtdale in Luzerne County and to Eagles Mere and Laporte in Sullivan County, where it is also currently working on an additional expansion.

Comcast’s recent community partnerships in the area include the installation of Lift Zones – free WiFi service to promote learning in community spaces – at the Greater Pittston YMCA and Lehman Sanctuary in Shavertown. These Lift Zones are part of Project UP, Comcast’s comprehensive, 10-year, $1 billion commitment to help build a future of unlimited possibilities and the continuation of the company’s long history of giving back to communities where it provides service and where its employees live and work.

Comcast also offers Internet Essentials, the nation’s largest and most comprehensive broadband adoption program, and participates in the federal government’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), offering a $30/month benefit to any Xfinity Internet or Internet Essentials customer who qualifies. The credit can be applied to Xfinity Internet, Internet Essentials and Xfinity Mobile services.
